I suddenly realised today that I hadn't popped back to see if there'd been an update since part 2, and I'm a week overdue. I know what you mean about it being easier to have an 'identifiable' illness which isn't somehow tainted with the idea that 'it's all in the head.' I can relate a litle since I too suffered terribly with migraines and my Mum was told so often that it was just because I was 'a worrier' and I needed to stop worrying. Oh right. Also I had a couple of miserable years very recently where I was ill ALL the time. i couldn't drag myself out of bed most days. I got about 16 colds in one winter season. And of course I was on my own most of the time with 2 small children. Eventually I broke down at the doctors and was told I might have SAD. Eh? I was shivering and nauseous. I pushed and pushed and was eventually sent for an X Ray by a very unwilling GP. Turned out I'd been harbouring a lung infection for months. On another note - I read somewhere recently that they now think that ME and related diseases could be linked to pesiticide poisining?

And soooo with you on not being believed - nothing worse.Suffolkmumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15123007594112557168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2453446994434387386.post-83718109431788032122008-03-25T09:19:00.000+01:002008-03-25T09:19:00.000+01:00Hi WW, boy this made me mad. I'm so sorry, hon. What an A*se of a situation. Big Hugs. Hope it helps writing about it all - we are always here.

xxxSam Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15981522161884269876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2453446994434387386.post-67601133353372913892008-03-24T23:24:00.000+01:002008-03-24T23:24:00.000+01:00Ok, here's an admission - I read this when you fir...Ok, here's an admission - I read this when you first posted it and was at a complete loss at what to say. Came back tonight and I thought you'd gone and I'd missed my chance. From a personal point of view just wanted to say thanks for all that you've done which is amazing considering what you are going through (migraines alone are bad enough). May you get the help and support you deserve.Chris Stovellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03741359642268813093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2453446994434387386.post-9640163404275295272008-03-23T00:02:00.000+01:002008-03-23T00:02:00.000+01:00It's ridiculous, isn't it? 2,000 years of medicine...It's ridiculous, isn't it? 2,000 years of medicine and what he's really saying is that you might just as well read Galen or Ptolemy! If he had said that you has picked up an evil spirit that would have made as much sense.

But somewhere there is someone who knows the answer, who can make you well.

Big Hug

FenniexxFenniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02377814681496294457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2453446994434387386.post-14375788880692716902008-03-20T22:29:00.000+01:002008-03-20T22:29:00.000+01:00Gosh, Headmistress, this is all a bit of a shock. ...Gosh, Headmistress, this is all a bit of a shock. I have come over to have a look (long overdue)and see what's going on in your life and I find this. I need to come back and have a closer read when I'm back from Easter hol and have more time. Your symptoms are very unusual and a I would like to read up a bit more. Have you thought of homoeopathy? I'm just thinking that, learning of the depression you have suffered (your comments on my blog), it suggests to me much hormonal upheaval. All I know is how I felt (physiologically) post depression (i.e completely messed up and malfunctioning - sleep, digestion, energy, etc etc) but have now been put right back on track by a homoeopath. It could be worth you investigating. Consultants are arrogant bastards most of the time and usually completely un holistic, which is completely unintelligent and extremely frustrating.

Thinking of you. Will come back again soon.

xxxCarah Bodenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11429666157453439321noreply@blogger.com
